Brigham Young University–Hawaii ("BYU–Hawaii" or "university") seeks to foster a caring environment where members of the campus community may study, learn, and interact socially in a manner conducive to the mission, values, and aims of a BYU–Hawaii education.
The university expects and encourages members of the campus community to maintain a reasonable concern for their own mental health and emotional well-being.
Counseling Services provides on-call crisis counseling by professionally trained therapists. Periodically, the university offers education programs and training that promotes the understanding of suicide dynamics and the behavior that may signal suicidal intent.
If someone is in need of help, please call Counseling Services at (808) 675-3518. In an emergency, call Campus Safety & Security at (808) 675-3911 or dial 911 for Honolulu Police or an ambulance.
