Church Educational System Nondiscrimination
Policy
Brigham Young University–Hawaii prohibits unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, religion, age, disability, or any other basis protected by applicable law, in employment, education, and all BYU–Hawaii programs and activities.
Notwithstanding the above, as an educational institution sponsored by and affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brigham Young University–Hawaii lawfully gives strong preference to qualified, faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ in employment and admissions decisions.
Consistent with its religious affiliation and purpose, Brigham Young University–Hawaii requires all faculty, staff, and students to abide by the Church Educational System Honor Code, which contains essential elements of the religious values, practices, and beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ.
