Educational Outreach
1. Purpose
- All university continuing education programs will be administered through the Department of Educational Outreach. It will not be appropriate for any College, division, or individual(s) to develop and offer independent programs.
- The Department of Educational Outreach must bear all of the losses in programs it sponsors. The Department will have the authority and responsibility to see that the resources acquired through tuition and fees are used in a responsible way. Since the fundamental purpose of the programs is to provide educational service, not to create financial profit, the fees and charges will be kept as low as possible. Where there is a surplus the Division will use that resource to offset losses in other programs.
2. Policy
Educational Outreach – This policy defines Educational Outreach as the branch of services that handles all continuing education programs.
